founded Vinostat to organize ongoing statistical research projects. Peter Weber is the Director of the Cork Quality Council – a trade association of US cork companies. He manages the organization’s quality control initiatives, research activities and promotional programs. Weber has a background in wine marketing and has managed direct marketing activities for Windsor Vineyards, Lockwood Vineyards and several wine retailers. Prior to entering the wine industry he worked in market research at Norton Simon for holdings in the packaged goods and publishing industries. Current projects include working with the Portuguese Cork Association in their effort to demonstrate to wineries how the choice of cork closures can improve consumer perception.
